The Sarovar Portico has well-appointed, clean rooms with good bathrooms. Its staff is friendly and helpful. It is more of a businessmans hotel, but very comfortable and well located for tourists. Its buffet breakfast is wonderful. And the restaurant has a good menu for other meals. You could ask for a "river view", otherwise ... read more »

stayed here this november for2 nights. Didnt have agreat expeience of Ahmedabad overall hence why I said not sure if much better available. Manager treid to be helful but wasnt really and staff were rude and actually demanded tips for doing nothing! ... read more »

While the hotel wasn't shocking, it was far from what I would consider clean! More importantly, there was a coat hook screwed into a live electrical wire in the middle of the room, which gave my husband a severe electric shock - when we informed the staff, they seemed non-plussed about the fact, offered to change our room, but ... read more »
