Friendly Indian home, large bedrooms with en-suite shower room, fan, desk and chair, fitted wardrobes in bedroom. Full use of internet free. Use of sitting room. Breakfast and Dinner included (first class food). The owner Beena is the local health inspecter, everything is spotless. The stay we had with Beena and Sudie made our stay in fort cochin. They will do anything for you and make you feel so welcome. It was my birthday whilst we were staying with them. They bought me a lovely birhday cake with candles and cooked a special meal for everyone who was staying with them that evening. Its a very sociable setting, so much so you don't really feel the need to go out in the evening as its nice sitting around eating lovely food and exchanging daily stories with everyone. A 10min walk from Santa Cruz Basilica and St Francis Church. A rick shaw is only 50rs if you don't feel like walking. I could not recommend this Home Stay highly enough. Its a real gem. I stayed only one night in Beena`s Homestay, and I really liked the place. It is a private home in a sidestreet of the KB Jacob road, in walking distance (10 minutes) to the main attractions of Kochi. We spent several nights at Beena and Sudhi's homestay in January 2009 and experienced the best mattresses we had in our 10 months throughout India! And that does make a big difference.
