Desert Boy Guest House Jaisalmer Post #1 of 2. My little contribution to the Hotels & Lodging. DESERT BOY. a wonderful guest house runned by Pradeep. Wonderful roof rooms (among others. but the best), with fan, WC, cushions, and views of the outside of the fort. Restaurant at the top, music, wonderful kitchen (try the momo's. specialty from Nepal. mmmm, just AMAZING!), and incredible ambiance to chat at sunset at candle light with other backpackers. Even got computer with internet. He organizes camel and jeep safaris (shame we got no time enough to try it. next time!). Fare: round 300 rupies. By the way, his jeep driver, took good care of us. bought bus tickets to Udaipur, arrange guest house at Udaipur and took us to the bus stop. THANX!!. no extra charge. Like: the rooms at the top, the views, dawn and raise of sun. the restaurant, the cozyness of the place, Pradeep and his people are wonderful !!. Dislikes: a silly thing. to write something. The WC next to the rooms in the top, smells a little. of course it was almost 45 degrees hot in Jaisalmer last September!!. Desert Boy Guest House Jaisalmer Rates and Room Information
Around 300 rp.. in low season and no tourist in sight...

And despite specifically promising 'full bedding' we were ... read more »

Great camel safari too. The guides were ... read more »

I stayed here in November 2005. My room with bath was 800 rupees. It was okay but the best aspects of this hotel is its location and the service of its staff. Also, I recommend their breakfasts on the roof (great toasted egg and cheese sandwiches) and their desert tour was outstanding! ... read more »

The only dislikes about the place:
* They don't clean toilets all that well; I wouldn't take a ... read more »
