We stayed here for one night and had a great experience. From the moment we arrived we were looked after. A jeep collected us from the train station and we had access to the jeep for the duration of the stay - it is located about 10 mins walk from the fort along a dark road which isnt so great for walking at night.

When we arrived in Jaisalmer, we were quickly picked up and transported to the hotel. It's located a little bit out of town in a quiet countryside but still close enough for us to walk to the fort. Once again I second all the comments above, although the place is only 7 years old it looks like its been there for hundreds of years - yet is clean and sparkling because it is new. We had a great time here. The family and staff (Ashok) that runs it are extremely friendly and nice. The food is good and goes well with the cool rooftop view of the fort. Jaisalmer is small enough that being on the fringe of town is not a problem and in fact I think is an advantage.
