The staff at the Hotel Tibet are very friendly and helpful. The room was excellent and comfortable and -- a rarety in India -- our sheets were changed every day. The restaurant was excellent. Believe me, I looked at 6 different hotels before coming to this one, including the adjacent Chumbi Residency. We travelled Gangtok in November 2007 and stayed in the suite room. Looked at 7 other hotels in Gangtok before choosing this one. It was the nicest of those willing to give us a double room for 700 rupees. A bit hard to find--you go up, up, up Tibet road from the main market. Their vegetable momo is delicious; the curries are good too.:) ... read more »
