We booked an AC room by phone but when we arrived the staff claimed they did not have AC rooms and gave us a very hot room with no windows for 700rs. My first room the first night was a nightmare! I initially wanted a room w/ a balcony overlooking the Ganges. It was post monsoon season so it was hot & humid as hell. My friend and I stayed here for two nights just last week, and we loved it. The balconies and the garden restaurant are fantastic. The staff is super helpful and went all out to get us into our room early after we got off of a night train. Food was decent too. Great ambience, lovely painted rooms (with orange doors and blue walls). The owner is supposed to be the local transport-arranging-guru, i.e. if anyone can organise an airplane ticket, he can.

The location is great, but you can only reach this hotel via _very_ dirty alleys. The rooms and facilities itself are OK (the court is nice, that must be said), not too dirty although a bit on the expensive side, especially the ensuites. The prices mentioned here are NOT CORRECT!
