The photo above is of the room we stayed in. It was 800R per night (this in an a/c room, but we agreed not to use the a/c for this price). Beautiful room, friendly staff. Restaurant staff were hilarious. Taught us to swear in Hindi and used us to play practical jokes on each other, lots of fun. Had a lot of trouble finding taxi to take us there from busstop as they don't pay commissions. Make sure you get a room in the old section, not the new section - which has all the cost and none of the atmosphere. We can highly recommend Haveli Guest House. We stayed their this December on our way to Jaisalmer and wished we could have stayed longer. The location is good - very close to the action of the market, but enough tucked away that we didn't have any issue with noise. The rooms were basic, but nicely decorated and very clean. ... read more »

We have stayed at Haveli Guest House on two previous trips and staying there again during December. The rooms are spotless and clean, the service great and the staff helpful. You go there as a tourist and leave as a friend. The rooftop restaurant is great (vegetarian only) and we even had the kitchen prepare us a take-away meal ... read more »

We booked this hotel through e-mail with the owner for Rs1500 a night with fort view. Well, instead we have a dead on view of the step well with stagnant water full of mosquitoes. And there were big gaps around the window frames that we had to tape them shut so that the bugs could not get in. What about the fort view? We could ... read more »

We had the same orange room as above - nice room although we paid 1750 including an extra bed..so I guess prices have gone up! it was small, nice view, almost clean.. nice place but certainly not the best we stayed in, a bit pushy as far as the tips and tours and things went. Good restaurant upstairs, nice place to chill in ... read more »

Stayed here for two nights with a group of 12. The staff was excellent and the rooms really very nice. The rooftop restaurant is lovely, especially in the evenings with a lovely view of the fort along with live folk music and dance. Make friends with the restaurant staff and they would go an extra mile to make you happy...without ... read more »

This was one of a few low-range rooms we booked and we were disappointed. There was a wedding on next door so we had little sleep, there was hot water only between 7 and 10 morning and night and the showers were average. Our 'fort view' room required straining the neck to see it.

Stayed here Dec 06 and loved it. Paid Rs850 and it was excellent value. Found the hotel and staff very helpful and they collected us from the airport from a very delayed flight.
Restaurant was great and the view amazing. No TV but hot water a plenty.
I cannot recommend this place enough. ... read more »
