This is a three story hotel tucked in between other buildings. Modern. Small single rooms, but fine for the price.
Shillong hotels are all overpriced, as there is no "down season", it's always got people coming.
The staff are incredibly agreeable. Intelligent, well travelled, they know their local area. Staff are efficient and friendly. Room service is from the restaurant attached to the hotel. Really good food, and cheap.
The down side is that the rooms are small. It's normal for Shillong, but coming from another place in India, it's noticeable.
I stayed there three weeks. I was given a newspaper and a pot of tea every morning, and people were just so pleasant.
They really understood the meaning of service.
The desk staff could organise anything I wanted, and not rip me off!!.
It's right in the centre of town and close to everything.
I would recommend the rooms at the back of the hotel. The ones in the front have windows that overlook an alley, and are a bit stuffy.
I tried a few hotels around there, but they seemed to be really overpriced for what was on offer. std/isd phone. room service. tours organised. laundry.
