Stayed for 2 nights during July, 2009. I was offered economy rooms for off-season rate of Rs 450 a night and then the staff tried to steer me off to nearby hotels. I was told that because of limited water availability I should take my showers etc. from 7 to 8 in the morning.

The perfect budget hotel. Good location (at the start of Mall Road, 5 minute walk from the Railway station) Clean bedsheets, towels and comfortable comforters. Courteous staff. We took a valley-facing deluxe room in August. Room was rather tiny but with oversized bathroom.
Hotel people were friendly. Would stay there again.
Remember to keep the windows firmly closed when you go out
