Hotel Dream Land Lodge Hyderabad
Unsure, but you don't want to know. Really.
"Hotel Total Nightmare" would be a better name for this total fleapit. Boiing hot (even with the fan on full), filthy and noisy. The staff were the surliest I've yet encountered in India and make regular requests for 'baksheesh' for no apparent reason whatsoever. It was cheap but it was truly awful. Likes: Erm. Cheap. Close to the railway station. and, err. that's it. Seriously, though, the food in the cafe downstairs is really good and incredibly cheap. Their chilli-rich, fiery Aloo Samosas are delicious and only cost 3 rupees. Dislikes: Pretty much everything else. I know you can't expect much for 160 rupees a night but I really wish I'd spent some more money and stayed somewhere else. There's no excuse for the rudeness of the staff, no matter how cheap the place is. Attached bathroom with toilet / shower.. . Some rooms have a TV but I doubt it'll work; nothing else did. Hotel Dream Land Lodge Hyderabad Rates and Room Information
160 for a room in April. 190 for a room with a TV that probably won't work.

Like I say, I wished I'd spent some more money and stayed somewhere else.
Your jibe about 600 bucks-a-night hotels isn't really necessary; plenty of Indiamikers travel on a budget and stay in places around this price - I'm just trying to warn them about this particular one. ... read more »
Rudeness is rudeness

Rudeness is rudeness, not matter what price is being paid. I stayed here and recall being more put off by the attitude of the staff than the state of the rooms. I have to agree with Dr. F. ... read more »
