After checking out 3 or 4 Hotels we had underlined in the LP we finally relented and let our driver take us to the one of his choice which was by far the best of the lot. We got a nice room (101) at the Hotel Relax with a glass fronted balcony which looked down to a three-way intersection. It was our second and third nights in India and we needed a spot of relaxation to rejuvinate. The Hotel Relax was the perfect spot to do this. We spent the two days sitting on the balcony, drinking cold beer, eating some of the best food I've consumed anywhere and watching India on the move. A short walk got you to a bustling market place but the veiw from the balcony was so good that I only ventured there once. I paid Rs. 1265 (Rs. 1100 + tax) for an AC double in the last week of October, 2007, and was quoted Rs. 935 (Rs. 850 + tax) for a non-AC double. An extra bed was provided for Rs. 200.
