This hotel is in the centre of the old city, but conveniently located on a main road. It is a new building, and very clean. Rooms are cleaned / sheets changed daily on request. The owners and staff are cordial, friendly and very helpfull. Ask for Irfanbhai, and say that Matt sent you. A great hotel for the money, for an extra 100rp than the flea-pit I first checked into, it was full luxury. A similar experience to the Rak International in Delhi. Highly recommended. It turned a planned three days in Ahmedabad into 10 days for me! The owners also have a higher luxury hotel just around the corner if that's your bag - its very nice inside. While the hotel wasn't shocking, it was far from what I would consider clean! More importantly, there was a coat hook screwed into a live electrical wire in the middle of the room, which gave my husband a severe electric shock - when we informed the staff, they seemed non-plussed about the fact, offered to change our room, but ... read more »

Stayed last february there for a couple of nights. I've paid 300 Rs. The rooms are not bad but without windows, nevertheless very noisy, impossible to sleep since 6am. Bath quite dirty. I think was one of the reasons to leave Ahmedabad before preview. Staff very kind. ... read more »
