Jagat Niwas Palace Hotel Udaipur
23-25 Lal Ghat

The former palace offers both economy rooms (without a view) and deluxe rooms (with lake views). The building is like something out of the 1,001 Nights: large public areas covered with marble (from a nearby quarry). While the economy rooms are a bit grim, the deluxe rooms are exceptionally fine. Above all, the restaurant is outstanding with a wide selection of Mughal, Kashmiri, and other dishes. All amenities. Jagat Niwas Palace Hotel Udaipur Rates and Room Information

Jagat Niwas is difficult to find but it's a gem. The price is more than reasonable. The rooms are small but lovely. We had a double bed sized window seat overlooking the lake and palace and it was a great spot to relax, read and write. The restaurant is expensive but well worth splurging out on, even the breakfasts. We changed ... read more »
