This hotel is a good choice. Most rooms have excellent views of the lake and the Lake Palace and balconies. Some balconies are enclosed. Ask to see different rooms upon check in as they vary in size, decor and quality of bathroom. There is no elevator, but the rooms on the upper floors might be better. We loved this hotel. We paid 2420 rupees (45 EUR) per night for an aircon double room with a lake view and balcony.
The hotel is away from the town centre but it's a pleasant 5/10 minute walk away.
It was well-run with great service and the owner made a point of introducing himself and offering us advice on the area.

Wonderful place! It overlooks the lake (if there IS a lake, what was not the case when we were there) and has view to the city palace as well.
The rooms are lovely and have nice balconies.
Breakfast on the terrace with the great view was well worth paying a little bit more for the room than we normally did!
