Maria Lodge. (Near Radio club, Colaba). sorry, can't find the phonenumber. room with double bed, aircon,shower, tv (60 channels+). 500R. perfect location. best you can get. (wanned to keep it for myself but heck, you're all friends now ;). ps. if you're in front of it, and see some boys opposite of the street sitting there next to one of the shops, ask em to bring you up so they get some commission of your 500R, and you have a new friend ;) - they are nice boys and can show you around the place if you're in for that too. ---- if you print a picture out of mahender from my photo gallery, they are his friends (or deffinately know him, which will get your feet in the door;). have a great time. would love to hear from anyone who followed my advise!. I've stayed there on a number of occasions 2007 and early 2008. Its bare bones with your own shower and shared squat toilets that are at one end of the hall. i would recommend this place, but with a small insight.
i stayed there in january 08 for 3 nights. i was on the 3rd floor(the top). i rang ahead while i was in goa. the rooms were Rs.700 on the phone. when i got there, after a struggle to find it, the rooms were Rs.900. i persisted and got mine for Rs.750. they are small, 2 ... read more »

It is difficult to say if i'd recommend it. It was ok at 2am, right after 15hrs flight. There was a bed, and even an indian slyle shower, although no hot water.
However, the owner "did not remember" my reservation made 2 weeks beforehand, and the price grew from 600 to 750 Rs.

Not-too-grotty budget option in Colaba. 3 floors of double rooms at 450 a night. Windowless rooms that are basic but have their own shower. Massive, fast fan keeps the room cool.

I stayed here in March '03 and agree it is OK for a bare-bones guest house. Smallish room with good bed, clean linen, shower stall (no sink or toilet), adequate facilities down the hall. Well, I stayed there September 2003 and have to say although it may be a cheap this place absolutely SUCKS! The rooms were dingy, filthy, and had a nice "I'm in prison feel to them".
