RaJ era hotel, less run down than some, but way overpriced and terrible food. Far from town, temple, RR Stn. Leaky toilet, dark rooms, expensive car hire. Mostly elderly english tour groups for clients. with enough beer, it might seem like a nice hotel- I don't drink. Good dhobi, tho. With so many choices in Amritsar, the only reason to choose this hotel would be to stay at a Raj-era building. It was "the" place to stay in the '60's and '70's but I'm afraid, no longer.
