Stayed for one night during June 2009 Ratha Yatra. It was fairly clean, has ac and tv, though the tv connection was poor. It was quite a bit more expensive than posted on IM, it was about 6,000RS. Stayed 3 nights here in June 2009. It was excellent. It's a business hotel, so it's very quiet, beautifully maintained and super clean. It's in the 5 star range, and definitely deserves it. The Sai International is a newer hotel and it is about 3*. There is lots of white marble decor and good food in the restaurant. It looks like a gleaming white fortress from the road. It is clean, friendly, has good hot water in the bathrooms and satellite TV.

The Mayfair Beach Resort in Puri is fine for a few nights. It has pretty grounds and all rooms have a/c. The “Bungalows” have large common lawn areas for 4-5 bungalows and private patios. If you are traveling on your own, you might want a room a little further away from the entrance to the beach.

This was the nicest hotel I stayed at in Orissa. It is a 5-star Indian owned property and is beautifully maintained with lovely public areas,rooms, gardens and pool.
