Absolutely beautiful location - up in the mountains surrounded by rainforest and jungle. Family owned by the friendliest most hospitable people. Cooking is superb, all grown on the plantation and the coffee is to die for. Great hiking all around, immense peacefulness and a waterfall in the back garden plus a view of an old palace. What more could youwant?. There's nothing to dislike - it's fabulous!. Log cabin-style accommodation, hot bucket showers each evening, home-cooked, home-grown food and coffee. A gorgeous place to stay, amid the garden-like atmosphere of the family's cool-climate (1350m) coffee estate. The two sons of the Kodavu family, Prasad and Prakesh, are wonderful, really concerned about the well-being of their guests. This is a great place to stay if you want to surround yourself with beauty, tranquility, friendly people and delicious home-cooked meals. It's not the easiest place to get to...from Mangalore or Tellicherry, it's a 4 hour bus ride plus additional travel from Madikeri by another bus AND a jeep, or a 500 rupee ride from Madikeri ... read more »
