A bit out of town but nicer for it. Right by the backwaters with a simple dining room / bar and lush gardens / trees etc. A really peaceful place to stay and chill out with the occasional boat going by. Top class host here. we asked for food and he went off on his push bike and got fresh fish and beers. You stay in these lovely little huts made from bamboo. Stayed here twice now. Jan 2006 and 2007.
Has gone downhill a bit, but still a nice place to stay.
Very chilled out, understated but pleasant place. Near to a boatyard, so can be a bit noisy (but that's India for you).
Huts are rustic / eco bamboo, with wonderful open air bathrooms.
