Cheapest of the 3 KTDC properties within Periyar Reserve. All rooms open onto a shared terrace frequented by monkeys. Restaurant that serves Indian food and small bar. Rooms are nice with large double beds, ensuite and cable tv. Be warned there is a 6pm-6am curfew on all hotels within the park. The Periyar House is an excellent modestly priced hotel within the sanctuary. If you are a nature lover, staying inside a reserve forest makes a world of difference.
