Resort Hoka Diu
Nagoa Beach -Coming from Diu town take the right hand
The hotel is set back from the beach (a few minutes walk) amongst a grove of hoka and other types of palm trees. Aditya Dogra, the owner, planned the building of the hotel so that no trees were cut down. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The general ambience of the place is relaxed and friendly. Aditya takes great trouble to make sure all his guests are made to feel equally welcome and can answer all your questions about Diu. The restaurant has a comprehensive menu, with naturally a bias towards fish dishes (including fish and chips)! We can recommend the freshly caught prawn, pomfret and tuna dishes. Cold Kingfisher beer is always in stock, as is Goan port wine and a selection of IMFL's (whisky, rum, etc). Highly recommended. One of the best places we have ever stayed at in India. Aditya doesn't have his own web site but if you go to http://www.travelindia.com and search for Diu under "islands", you will find some photos of the hotel and a write-up. Aditya is "indiawise" on this forum. Most rooms have attached shower and toilet and upstairs rooms have balconies. No TV by intention but Aditya has a fine collection of Indian and Western music. Wheelchair friendly. Resort Hoka Diu Rates and Room Information
Prices range from Rs. 550 to Rs. 1900 depending on type of room, duration of stay and season.

We had a fantastic room with lots of hot water all day long and wonderful airconditioning. Best of all the staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for us and there was no soliciting for tips. ... read more »

I have just spent a week at this resort with my two children and the 3 of us were comfortably staying in one room, an additional bed had been installed. There was a TV in our room as in most rooms apparently. I followed the indications given by the (rather user friendly and well documented)website and reached DIU by plane from ... read more »
