Stayed at the hotel Sheela in November 05...loved it! It was so nice to be out in a quite area but within walking distance of the Taj..so close! The Restaurant was great and the gardens very peacful. We did make a reservation and told them we would be arriving early morning...when we got there we had to wait about two hours for our room...which was slightly irritating considering just arriving from a 14 hour bumpy all night bus ride...but once we got our room it was large and comfy and the water was hot-although not the 250 rup. room we were quoted on the phone we ended up paying 300 rup-but it was well worth it to not be in the dirty, grundgy Taj Ganj and to be able to walk to the Taj! Very Oasis like!
