I had made a reservation at Hotel...

Positives: They hotel let us change rooms to their sister concern after noticing our disappointment
Negatives: Many
I had made a reservation at Hotel Sheela atleast a month and half before getting there for a Rs. 600 night room. Agra was our last destination so by then we knew what a room should entail for the price you were paying based on the city. Sheela Inn was a huge disappointment. The room we were taken to had a water leak in one wall, bugs, cobwebs and a nasty bathroom. More than that it smelled so bad. (Rm # 118). My husband and I felt cheated of Rs. 600 so instead of settling for it, we asked them to show us another room. They took us to another room a couple of rooms down from 118 and while the room did not smell it was just as bad. I announced to my husband that I refuse to touch the faucets or anything in the room. I guess the manager must have felt our disappointment because when my husband asked for a place for dinner, they gave us Sheela Inn's card (their sister concern). we got there and it looked like a clean new hotel so we asked if we could see a room. They showed us a Rs. 800 a night room which was 500 times better than the room at Hotel Sheela. The bathroom was clean and everything worked fine. The manager accomodated us and transferrered our booking from Hotel Sheela to Sheela Inn. They also arranged for us a tazi and car service and offered good suggestions. The rooftop restaurant has a great view of the Taj. I would stay at Sheela Inn but not at Hotel Sheela unless they renovated their rooms.
