A good option in Gangtok

Believe me, I looked at 6 different hotels before coming to this one, including the adjacent Chumbi Residency. We travelled Gangtok in November 2007 and stayed in the suite room. Bargained for the suite for Rs. 1540. Not a bad deal. The days were cloudy so couldn't really see Kanchendzonga from the room, but it is visible early morning.
The walk down to MG Marg from this hotel is nice with shops and houses in the vicinity. The hotel staff is responsive and they understand the sense of urgency. The balcony in the suite was beautiful.
