The resort is spread over 10 acres of island surrounded by shallow backwaer canals making it safe for rowing traditional kerala boats. The resort is located in the midst of 55 acres of plantations, mainly cardamom. We stayed for two nights in this resort in November 2008 in a superb atomsphere. The staff were friendly and helpful. If you like touristy resort this is the place to be. Located just outside the village the Desert Resort did its best to re-create a Rajasthani village made out of cow-dung/mud cottages.
