Resort with a village atomsphere

Positives: Good atomsphere, elegant rooms with spacious bathroom, friendly and courteous staff, good food.
Negatives: The last one km of approach road is in bad condition.
The resort is spread over 10 acres of island surrounded by shallow backwaer canals making it safe for rowing traditional kerala boats. All cottages are beautifully done in typical Kerala style architecture. The guests can watch activities like coconut plucking, toddy tapping, coir mats weaving etc. Guests can also indulge in fishing, pedal boating and canoeing without any extra cost. The resort takes guests on a two hour evening backwater cruise free of charge. The resort has a multi-cuision restaurant which serves tasty food. They specialises in seafood. We stayed in the resort for two nights in November 2008 and enjoyed our stay very much. We would definitely stay in this resort if we visit Alappuzha next time. All in all more than money's worth.
