We arranged our hotel booking using the reviews on the internet to help us and we could not have been more pleased with our choice. We were a party of 11 with 3 young children and I had a great deal of email contact with Om before we made the booking. He very kindly and patiently answered all my questions to ensure that all our needs were met. We were met at the station by members of the guest house which made life very easy. Fifu Guest house is absolutely gorgeous - the rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated, the beds were very comfortable and the toilets and showers were very clean. Om and Jitu ensured that our every need was met. They organised a fantastic Camel Safari for us. We did not come across any other people in the desert, and the meal that was cooked in the middle of the desert was one of the best we had. The approach to the hotel is not the best, but close your eyes for a few seconds and you will soon be in a heavenly guest house. It is only a few minutes from the station and the fort. The terraces had amazing views and all your meals can be provided at the terrace restaurant. The meals are reasonable, but if you like salt with your meals - just let the kitchen know that in advance. Another aspect of the guest house that was a real pleasure was not being harrassed constantly for tips. At the end of your stay you just make an anonymous tip if you wish, and this is then shared amongst all the staff. We stayed for just 2 nights ... we wished we had stayed longer. We will definitely be going back one day.
