Fairlawn - Once is enough

Cleanliness:
Positives: "Atmosphere
Negatives: Overpriced / bad food.
It's interesting for the sake of Raj nostalgia - but ridiculously overpriced. The food is always overcooked and stale. If you want a great "Raj Experience" stay at the Great Eastern Hotel nearby. It's where Kipling lived when he was a reporter for the Civil Gazette. Go for the nicer rooms which have bathtubs that are so deep - that the water comes up to your shoulders when you're sitting up. Nice breakfast food there too. It doesn't look so "charming" in the modernized lobby - but upstairs where it counts - it's the same as it was in pre-partition days. Its quieter and more well-maintained. Service is very friendly and much more affordable.
