The perfect budget hotel. Good location (at the start of Mall Road, 5 minute walk from the Railway station) Clean bedsheets, towels and comfortable comforters. Courteous staff. Clean toilets but NO 24 hour water supply. The staff do get you buckets of water if desired. The Valley facing rooms have great views (we stayed in room no 104 in the last week of April 2009) Avoid the Mall Road facing rooms as they do not afford privacy. The restaurant is very average. I would recommend taking Room only or only with breakfast. We paid Rs 1380 per day including taxes (Continental Plan) for 2 adults and two children (one 4 yr and other 10 yr)
