The Sarovar Portico has well-appointed, clean rooms with good bathrooms. Its staff is friendly and helpful. It is more of a businessmans hotel, but very comfortable and well located for tourists. Its buffet breakfast is wonderful. And the restaurant has a good menu for other meals. You could ask for a "river view", otherwise the "city view" is other buildings. This is an excllent choice in Ahmedabad.
