Definitely a splurge hotel but worth it, especially if you stay here at the end of your trip. I first moved to the Oberoi Grand (and its VERY grand) after a bad experience at the Kennilworth Hotel. I have since stayed two more times. It is in a Raj-era building, has beautifully appointed rooms and is very safe for people traveling alone. You will have a choice of “city view” and ”garden/pool view”. The garden/pool view is much more relaxing. Its restaurants are excellent. There is an wonderful well-stocked bookshop just off the lobby and worth a visit for its selection of books and magazines. If your flight is late at night, you can request a later check-out then use the pool and spa services and have dinner before it is time to leave for the airport. It can be an expensive stay, so check their website for specials.
