The "best" of Silchar

It was supposedly the best hotel in town. Though that is saying very little. It's not clean, but it does have hot water. You can get AC rooms, but only two can provide AC when the generator is on. Those cost a premium of 1500/night. The food was fair, staff was what you would expect, not very interested but responsive to requests. Stayed two nights in April/2009. Silchar is not a tourist destination, it's a transit town, so I wasn't expecting much, and I was not impressed.
