Im writing this review as a person who HAD booked rooms there and ended up deciding NOT TO stay there - after having seen their wash room by the rooftop restaurant (or: the horrible state it was in - SO DIRTY i still have the image in front of my eyes!). It was terribly dirty, EVEN as for India! The worst part was a used plastic shaver - with some hair in it (YUK!) which was lying next to the sink. To make it even more exciting: it was still ying in the same place when we came there again a week later with some friends - same ones we were supposed to stay there with - which hadnt seen it before - i took them there just to show WHY I decided we should better move. the only GOOD point is the VIEW fro the rooftop restaurant. its quite amazing, nothing to compare with any other rooftop ion Agra (and we tried quite some!). but dont eat there, order a cola at most (i got sick from the food there :-S). we also asked to see the rooms (after having seen that bathroom) - and the bathrooms by the rooms were quite similar to the one by the restaurant - DIRTY! and that was in that new part of Shanti by the way. in short: NOT RECOMENDED!. cant tell Shanti Lodge Agra Rates and Room Information

Stayed two nights for the obligatory Agra leg of my trip.
I don't really have much to say about it. Most aspects were perfectly adequate, and the price was right (250 or 300, I think?). The only all-out problem (which is my fault, I should have checked and asked for a different room) is that the toilet didn't flush. However, ... read more »

We stayed in the Shanti Lodge for one night in October in the room up the very top next to the restaurant. We found the hotel to be clean enough and quiet(for the price).
