The Golden Temple! Amritsar

Well, the complex is based around the famous Golden Temple, most holy of the Sikh temple, which is located in the centre of a pool surrounded by white pilgrims dorms (see pictures). It's a really peaceful place to just hang around and soak up the atmosphere, and despite the amount of tourists taking advantage of the free bed, the Sikh guys are extrememly friendly and welcoming. The dorms are cramped, the beds are hard, and there are no pillows, but do you really care when you can wake up in the morning and stroll over to one of India's most beautiful sights. Almost forgot, Coke is 5 Rupees just outside the dorm room!!!. Nope, shared shower in the dorm, urinals for the lads, didn't check for the ladies The Golden Temple!
